Riverside Park is located on Spruce Street, between Douglas Avenue and Oak Street, along the east bank of the South Umpqua River.
The 3.25 acre Riverside Park is the horticulture jewel of the city. The park boasts hundreds of varieties of ornamental landscaping plants. There is a vast number of Rhododendron's, Azalea's, perennials, flowering trees, and other plant material noted for their flowers and foliage.
The park is laid out in two sections. South Riverside is an open lawn area with mature trees, benches, picnic tables and a view of the South Umpqua River. It is connected by a walking path to the North Riverside section. In addition to the beautiful landscaping in North Riverside, the park also houses the Roseburg Vistor and Convention Center and the Roseburg Chamber of Commerce offices. A great park to visit, especially in the spring.
