Volunteer Program

Citizen involvement and stewardship of our recreational resources are essential for a successful parks system. Here's a great chance for you to get involved in a rewarding volunteer experience. To view our Roseburg 2007 Volunteer Newsletter click here

The City of Roseburg has a variety of Volunteer Programs available:

1. INFORMAL VOLUNTEER

Serve in your favorite park as often as you wish, help plant flowers, pull weeds, pick up litter or participate in natural resource improvement activities.  This is a terrific opportunity for you or your group to be creative with your time and skills.

2. ADOPT-A-PARK and ADOPT-A-TRAIL PROGRAMS

Organizations or individuals can formally Adopt-A-Park and provide beautification throughout the park by planting and caring for annual and perennial flowers.  Bike and nature trails can be adopted by organizations or individuals volunteering to pick up litter and provide trail maintenance.

3. SPECIAL PROJECTS

Wildlife habitat enhancement, wood construction, landscape improvement, painting, and natural resource management are but a few of the areas for those special needs projects.

4. VOLUNTEER SPONSOR

Your company has an opportunity to support volunteerism in our Parks by providing funding for projects and volunteer recognition.
