
Q. - What are the park hours?
A. - All of the parks in the City of Roseburg are open from one (1) hour prior to sunrise till one (1) hour after sunset. Park users and organizations that secure permits may use the parks until later in the evening. As an example, baseball and softball games and musical events may use the parks after sunset, if noted in their permits.
Q. - Can I bring alcohol to the park?
A. - The Roseburg Municipal Code prohibits the consumption or sale of alcohol on public property. Exceptions may be allowed for a special event if an Oregon Liquor Control Commission license has been obtained and approved by the Roseburg City Manager.
Q. - Do I need to reserve a park pavilion or ball field?
A. - In order to make sure that you have a facility available for your event it is wise to reserve early. Many of the picnic pavilions are reserved for special occasions throughout the year. The Parks Division begins accepting reservations on the first business day in January for the current year, only.
Q. - What do I need to know about reserving park facilites?
A. - The City of Roseburg allows reservations of park facilities for private and organized events. To make a reservation you must contact the Parks Division at (541) 440-1188. Parks Division personnel coordinate the dates and times facilities are available and will instruct you on which permits are required.
Q. - How do I get a permit to reserve a facility?
A. - Once you have reserved a facility you have up to 10 business days to come into City Hall to sign and pay for your permit.
Q. - What happens if I don't acquire my parks permit(s)?
A. - If, within the 10 day reservation hold period, parks permits have not been acquired with the appropriate payment to the City Parks Division, the reservation hold will be canceled and you will lose your parks facility reservation.
Q. - What does it cost to rent a facility?
A. - Rental fee prices vary depending upon your choice of facility. Please call 440-1188 for current rates.
Q. - May I bring my dog to a City park?
A. - Dogs are allowed in city parks but they must remain on a leash, except for at the Happy Tails Dog Park. Dogs are not allowed at Stewart Park during any of the Half Shell events.
